It is hard to believe that spring is here but I am so excited for the warmer weather and the visible growth of God’s creation. I am happy for the growth of spring and also for the growth of Flight of the Fallen this year. The past 6 months I have been writing and with the amazing talent of Ty and Joe we will be releasing a full length album later this year! We are bringing a new and interesting sound to Flight of the Fallen that is uniformed, powerful, and emotional. I can’t wait to see what God has planned for this new album that is focused on Hope. We will be releasing an EP album May 12th that will be available for free! We really believe in our music and we want everyone to have the opportunity to listen. This 4 song EP will be a good feel for how the full length album will sound later in the fall. I will keep you posted! God Bless and thank you so much for reading!

Wow what a year! God has blessed me and given me so much this year.. I CANNOT thank Him enough for His unfailing love and mercy. Flight of the Fallen has been able to serve in many areas over the summer/fall. We were able to be a part of church camps, ministry through worship concerts in throughout Indiana, and meet so many amazing people that are sold out for God. It was an absolute joy to travel and play for God and truly worship Him alone. These last couple weeks have been very exciting for Flight of the Fallen. We have been able to focus our talents that God has given us and begin our full length album. This will be 12 to 15 song album with a uniformed and new sound for us. We will be incorporating a plethora of new instruments into our songs along with an overall message that there is HOPE in this broken world. I am currently in a transition of moving to Richmond which will be completed tomorrow! I am excited to be in a little bit bigger city with opportunities to serve God and share the message God has given to me. It will be a tough move but I believe I will grow from this experience. I will try to write more often now that I have some more time, sorry for the long gap from previous entries. Thank you all so much for your support and continued prayer, I think that 2012 will be a tremendous year for our ministry! Happy New Year, God Bless

This summer has been a blur. I graduated Anderson at the beginning of May and.. BAM! its already September. I spent the last month traveling to different fairs and festivals with Eagle Food Service.. yea yea I guess you could call me a carny haha. That was a tough month of work but now I am back and on track! I am meeting with my business partner Levi Monk to start up our sound business Catalyst Sound. We will offer live and studio recording along with other sound services. I am praying that God will lead me in the direction where I can serve Him with my talents, that is what I ultimately want. I want to use the gifts God has given me to glorify His name. I know I have a long road ahead of me with my music career but I am fully trusting in God with my life. Over the next few weeks I will be applying for various jobs in my field and continue work with Catalyst. I am also in the middle of writing/producing my next album that is projected to come out in summer 2012. I would like to ask for prayer in this next stage of my life. I have many decisions coming up with the direction of my career and feel quite overwhelmed with this part of my life. I know with God I can do anything.

When the ocean rise and the thuders roar, I will soar with you above the storm.

Father, you are King over the flood, I will be still and know you are God!

Find rest my soal, in Christ alone. Know His power, in quitness and trust.

Be still, and know that I am God (Psalm 46:10).

I just need to do all things in His timing and be still and trust in Him.

I will keep you posted! Thanks for tuning in

This past weekend was quite the experience. I have had the opportunity to be a part of an album and release concert for the artist/friend Levi Monk. Recording happen this spring when I was in my senior year at Anderson University. With a few meetings I was able to record 12 songs of acoustic guitar. This process went for the drums, bass, electric guitar, keys, and vocals. Levi has acquired all his own equipment to record this album and his time and effort has paid off. This last Saturday was the Turning Point Concert where people gathered to sing praises to God and to raise money for the local food pantry. This evening was filled with testimonials and songs of praise. It was an AWESOME experience and I was blessed to have been a part of everything. I encourage anyone reading this to check out Levi’s music at levimonk.com

I had the opportunity to go to Panama City Beach over the past week. I’m actually typing this while looking at the beautiful clear ocean water on my last day here. I can’t help to think how awesome God really is and the power of His name. Just having solitary time to reflect has been the greatest memory of this trip. Through this week I have really been able to have one-on-one time with God. Last nights sunset really was a “God moment.” This picture above is that sunset and I thought to myself, Wow God is so amazingly awesome! My friend Dustin said it best, “Think of all the sunsets over the years, thousands of sunsets and each one of them is unique and beautiful.” God is all-powerful and beautiful. Just think what He can do for your life! God makes the sunsets unique and beautiful everyday and cares even more about each of us, just think of what He can do in your life. He loved us so much that He sent his ONE and ONLY Son down to earth to die such a horrible death on a cross. GOD CARES FOR US MORE THAN WE KNOW!!! It really hit me hard last night about how blessed I am to have such a loving God. I need to do all I can in return to glorify and praise His name.

GOD IS GOOD, ALL THE TIME. ALL THE TIME, GOD IS GOOD

John 4:23-24

23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

Through the last 3 years of my life I have had the honor of being a part of numerous worship events. Anderson University has given me many opportunities to grow as a young Christian through bible studies, concerts, etc. I have noticed in churches that I have attended that the people seem to not be giving all of themselves when serving and honoring God. This hits hard for me because worship through song is how I connect best with Christ. This worship of song is a time to reflect on the power and grace of God. It is also a time to repent and give all of yourself, not half, to Him who has given you everything. I think many times people have a hard time leaving problems and worries at the door when they enter a time of worship. Problems with relationships, jobs, and health are worries that can barricade a person to worship honestly and freely to God.

I recently talked with Chris Harley who is a youth minister in Rushville, In. He was telling me how he teaches the children the concept of love through offering. He explains, “I tell the kids that a boy wants to make a gift to give to his mother. The boy uses markers, paper, and many other materials to make this gift that he had no help in buying. The mother has purchased all of the materials to make the gift. So how does this item become a gift of love? The boy makes the gift with all the love he has for his mother. By using the materials that he has available, the child can express how much he loves his mother through the giving of a gift.”

Worship is the same concept! God has given us everything that we have today through blessings and his unending grace. He has blessed us beyond what we can imagine and most people take it for granted. I personally am guilty of not giving thanksgivings back to God when things are going well, and when circumstances are bad I pray for comfort and healing. Worship is my time to drop the problems I may have to give the glory and honor to His name. It shouldn’t be about worrying and thinking of our own selfish desires, but looking at how God has blessed your life and reflecting on your relationship with Him. Worship is a time to be honest with God, there should be no barriers. Worshippers need to drop their worries and doubt at the door before earnestly worshipping God the Father.

So in a nutshell, these are my thoughts on worship. Worship is a time to be honest with the Father and recognize the splendor of His name. Worship is a time to drop your worries and doubts in your life and praise God for the blessings He has poured out in your life. God GAVE his Son as a sacrifice for me and for you. Christ died and suffered pain you and I will never understand because He loved us with all of His heart. Why can’t we worship with all of our heart then? I encourage everyone to sing it out to Him with ALL of your heart this coming Sunday, for He is unbelievably worthy of all the praise and glory.

Matthew 15:8&9

All of you praise me with your words, but you never really think about me. It is useless to worship me, when you teach rules made up by humans.

Psalm 9:1

I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders

ROM. 12:1-2
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God this is your spiritual act of worship.

PS. 29;2
Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name; worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness.

John 4:23&24

Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshippers will worship the Father in Spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshippers the Father seeks. God is spirit and His worshippers must worship in spirit and in truth.

While I am still playing shows and pushing my album work has already begun on my next project. I feel God is calling me to do a worship album. Worship is how I connect best with my relationship with Christ and I really want to focus on having a deep connection with our God. My main goal for my music is to glorify God and to help others. I feel this is the right direction as I move into the work of my second album. I am in the writing stage currently and have 5 songs written so far. It has been an awesome experience so far with God working in my life and I can’t wait to see what is up next. Stay tuned for more! Love you all, Aaron.
